After exploring painting, photography, graphic design, and writing poems that - luckily - never saw the light of day, Jakub turned to a path that allowed him to somehow combine all these fascinations: film. In 2021, he graduated in Film Directing from the Lodz Film School, creating shorts like Headfish and A Tale of Two Sisters, presented at over 40 film festivals around the world. His films, usually deeply rooted in personal experience, explore themes of intimacy, loss, and the search for understanding in the modern world, often blending psychological realism with a touch of surrealism or tragicomedy. His latest short, Nothing Else, which premiered at the 2025 Krakow Film Festival, is no exception.
